Personal Statement
Kodak/Royal Academy of Engineering Chair in Educational Technology and director of the University’s Centre for Educational Technology and Distance Learning.
ICT Interests
The focus of my research is human-centred systems design: the application of studies of human cognition and social interaction to the design of human centred technology.
Recent Projects
My current projects include the design of personal mobile technology for learning, conversational learning environments for higher education, the design of a knowledge-based training and decision support system for neuroradiology, an developmental study of children’s photography, the development of computer models of creative writing.
