Personal Statement
I teach English in a Upper Secondary School in South Italy, Puglia. I strongly believe in the promotion of social skills, collaboration, the sharing of experiences and responsabilities among students, teachers, parents, school-staff. A living atmosphere, the personal involvement of students in school life are conditions for a good learning, these conditions can be facilitated first of all through the use of new pedagogical approaches and project works, secondly improving the students' self-learning strategies and self-confidence making everyone feel important in the process of communication and growth. During the last years I have seen how the use of ICT and the involvement of students in working with ICT has improved their language skills and their motivation as well as has helped weak students to better their school results creating new interests and a more active participation.
