Personal Statement
Just someone who is passionate about teaching, and how best to facilitate and contribute to the learning of others through ICT.
Having previously taught adult learners at Leeds University and converted BMW's financial systems to the Euro; i needed to ensure that i had achieved what i'd first set out to be during my younger years.. so i left. 8 years later i'd spent the vast majority of that time abroad, and was at the point where i was ready to put what i knew (hoped i knew) to good use and return to what had given me most pleasure. Teaching
The focus is now on being able to contribute, and making sure that the kids who share the classroom with me have all the potential and knowledge they need to have as much fun as i did/have/do.
ICT Interests
I come from managing and marketing non-traditional youth sports culture, back into teaching. Having previously specialised academically on database development and soft systems, I used those experiences and my education to follow my passions in life and gain a more European outlook. I'm in teaching because I want to perpetuate that through technology and motivation.
Recent Projects
Currently considering and modelling the effects through influence of ITT mentors on ITT students with regards to lead learning and bridging the gap between the academic and practice and it's possible relationship to CPD.
Case Histories
No current case histories.
