The MirandaNet Fellowship, which was founded in 1992, is a professional organisation, which strives to use ICT to make life better for learners in schools and communities in countries all over the globe. The members are policy makers, researchers, teacher educators, senior managers, community leaders, teachers and company partners who collaborate in practice-based (action) research projects which use ICT in innovative ways in lifelong education.

Members who become involved in these practice-based continuing professional development programmes are encouraged to use ICT to solve existing challenges in classroom and communities. They publish their articles, case studies and innovative multimodal publications for colleagues in the MirandaNet e-journals.

The MirandaNet case studies are a rich source of data for practitioners and for the researchers who collaborate with international governments, government agencies, charities and large and small companies to understand more about the best ways of encouraging the constructive use of ICT in teaching and learning.

Joining The MirandaNet Fellowship

MirandaNet is funded by company representatives who pay a non profit-making subscription to support the running costs of this community of practice. If you are a company representative, please apply to our founder, Christina Preston, (), for a list of services and subscription levels.

Membership is free, however, to education professionals working in schools, colleges and universities. Fellowships are awarded to scholars who add to the MirandaNet knowledge base through web publication of a 2,000-word peer-reviewed case study and by presentations at conferences and seminars. Any professional is welcome to join as a member or a scholar if she or he is committed to the use of advanced technologies in the transformation of teaching and learning.

Membership brings a number of benefits to members: members' profiles are published on the site, they receive MirandaNews, our newsletter, and they can participate in debates on MirandaLink and in our Forums.

For more information about the different categories of membership, please look at the How to Join section.
