Dr John Cuthell is the Research and Implementation Director for the MirandaNet Academy. In association with the Centre for Educational Innovation & Technology, Bath Spa University, he has developed practice based research accreditation for teachers that focus on a range of e-learning and change management projects involving work with varied web-based communities. Since 2001 he has co-ordinated MirandaNet action research projects with teachers evaluating the impact of interactive whiteboards on teaching and learning involving schools and educationalists in Mexico, China, South Africa and the United Kingdom. He has also worked on e-learning and e-facilitation courses, and with a MirandaNet team supported the introduction of computers into schools in Free State Province, South Africa. Current MirandaNet projects include the implementation of Visual Learning and the role of professional development (particularly with web-based communities of practice).
