Joining an EU Creativity project
MirandaNet associates are invited to join us in an EU project called HANDS ON in which we will be running events on aspects of establishing the general approach to creativity in the use of digital technologies for schools, FE, HE as well as vocational and adult training.
In addition, MirandaNet associates are invited to contribute to a major resource on creativity that will be developed over two years and will be promoted throughout Europe. We plan to curate resources that are already in the public domain and create new knowledge at interactive events that will be videoed.
At the events Associates will be welcome to present research papers to teachers and teacher educators that have an angle on creativity or ten minute talks in MirandaMods. If giving a talk is not appropriate there are still opportunities to display the company logos on all the EU literature, host drinks receptions, provide badged conference bags. put literature in the conference bags, network and so on.
The first private planning meeting will be at the Royal Overseas League, Mayfair, London late in May (TBC).

The MirandaNet Fellowship offers a series of networking dinners for professionals involved in education who wish to discuss educational issues and solutions to marketing challenges over a relaxed meal with Dr Christina Preston, Professor of Educational Innovation, Bedfordshire University and the founder of the MirandaNet Fellowship
The subject of the last networking dinner in London on Monday 29th April as:
‘Creativity left out of the ‘Computing’ curriculum: is this wise?”
On this topic we submitted to the DFE on the new ‘Computing’ programme on April 16th. You will find Fellows’ contributions here.
We are now planning a symposium on this topic and MirandaMod on July 9th at the ITTE conference in Bedfordshire.
The last MirandaNet networking dinner on 19th September 2012 at 19:30 in London tackled the question, Exploring Education Futures: linking digital technologies, grassroots practice and the making of policy.
This topic was then subject of an international MirandaNet conference, November 5th – 7th 2012, where associate company representatives were invited to share the floor with educators and policy makers as well as showing their products. Vanessa Pittard, from the Department of Education, UK, has agreed to speak at this event. Reports will collated for governments and departments of education after the event. We will also be seeking partners to submit several proposals for project funding relating to different products and research themes.
