The National College for School Leadership - talk2learn for the School Leaders of Today and Tomorrow
LogicaCMG was chosen to develop, implement and support an online environment to replace NCSL’s online community learning environment. The new LogicaCMG implemented technology has ensured NCSL’s online communities are easier to use and will be able to support the rapid expansion of member numbers.

The
Logica-Ofsted Toolkit
Ofsted selected LogicaCMG to overhaul the data-capture system at the heart of their Early Years childcare inspections. The resulting browser-based ‘Toolkit’ has simplified the recording of evidence during inspections, improved staff productivity and ensured Ofsted is on target to meet its objectives of improving efficiency and reporting on the results of inspections more quickly.

Office for Standards in Education – Shared service centre
Ofsted employed LogicaCMG to centralise their document management and call handling to help the department achieve the efficiency gains required under the umbrella of the Gershon Report. The objective was to release potential cost savings by consolidating many of the administrative tasks of 8 regional units into one National Business Unit in Manchester. This unit would handle incoming or outgoing mail and phone calls from childminders, schools and parents.

Logica and UCAS
In the largest IT project ever undertaken at UCAS, LogicaCMG was selected
to implement a new core system to process the 500,000 students applying
for a place in higher education in UK universities and colleges.

University for Industry – Bridging the Digital Divide with myguide
In a major project backed by the Department for Education and Skills (DfES), LogicaCMG was contracted by Ufi to develop myguide, an online system designed to engage those sectors of the population unfamiliar with the Web or those with access difficulties. The pilot has proved highly successful and myguide will be rolled out next year as part of the government’s overall inclusion agenda.
